Today is 🐟 National Fish and Chip Day 🍟

Its purpose is simple but important: to shine a national spotlight on fish and chips, encourage collective celebration and remind customers, communities and the wider food sector of the enduring place this dish holds in British Life! 👌

Fish and Chips have always been a hugely popular one of ours. Our fresh out of the Sea Haddock from the East Coast, is delivered to our doors by Tmrfoodsltd the best fish supplier in Yorkshire, Ripon based. 🏆. Our batter is complimented with a touch of Theakston Brewery Best Bitter. And our fresh local potatoes of Wellocks from Class One Fresh Produce Ltd, are hand cut and triple cooked on site, creating the perfect locally sourced best British favourite 👌

The Furlong and Furrow is bursting with traditional & characterful treasures & rustic charm. 😍 We particularly love the wooden and metal ploughs dating back to the 15th century, used historically for farming to create furrows for planting crops 🌾. Be sure to take a good look around when you visit. ☺️
