Not every brewery does things the same way - and that’s a good thing.

Some breweries are built around regular limited releases or one off brews. For a lot of people, that’s part of the fun - trying something once, knowing it’s not around forever.

But we take a different approach.

Rather than releasing new beers all the time, we focus on refining the beers we already brew - making sure they’re consistent and worth coming back to. The kind of beers you recognise, trust and want to drink again because you enjoyed them the first time.

We’ve always believed there’s space for both approaches. Ours is about familiarity over novelty, and reliability over hype. It’s how we’ve brewed since 1991 and it’s shaped the beers we make today.

If you’re looking to do something a bit special on the BBQ this weekend, this one’s worth your time.

Inspired by Tom Kerridge, these ribs are a three day process - but don’t worry, a lot of that time you don’t need to do much - just let the ribs sit and soak up the flavours.

These slow cooked ribs will fall apart and slide straight off the bone, and with Nightmare Porter at the centre of a rich and deep sauce and glaze, your guests will be blown away!

For many coeliacs, this was the first British beer they’d had in years.

When we first brewed GFA back in 2005, gluten free beer was still something coeliacs simply went without. And that meant missing out.

GFA was brewed to change that.

It became the first British brewed gluten free beer, but at the time it didn’t feel like making history - it just felt like doing the right thing.

What mattered was this: people could drink a beer again without hesitation. A normal moment, made possible.

Over the years, GFA quietly built a following. A beer people trusted, enjoyed, and came back to - which is why it’s still one of our bestsellers today.

It’s also been recognised along the way, including being named Europe’s Best Gluten Free Beer at the World Beer Awards.

Session Pale was our very first beer back in 1991. Back then, it was called Hambleton Best Bitter, and over the years we’ve renamed it more times than we’d probably like to admit 🙈

Now we’ve settled on Session Pale, because we all need a refreshing low abv beer from time to time. A pint to quench your thirst on a hot day or a perfectly balanced brew when one just isn’t enough 🥴

A busy start to the week after the Easter bank holiday 👏

The sun was shining so it was the perfect day to get the kegs ready for filling with a fresh batch of Cavalla Lager.

Lager isn’t just for sunny weather -
but it definitely tastes better when it is ☀️

Gluten free cask beer used to be almost impossible to find. So we made one.

A while ago, gluten free cask beer was even more limited than it is today. We didn’t want anyone to miss out on a proper pint, so we brewed an existing beer in our range, Stud Blonde, as gluten free for cask.

It sounds simple, but it changed so much for us.

People who hadn’t been able to enjoy cask beer for years could finally order a pint again. Word started to spread, pubs began asking for it, and Stud slowly became one of those beers people would go out of their way to find.

And the best bit?

Stud’s growing popularity gave us the confidence to go even further. We already had GFA and GFL, so we added all our other bottled beers to our gluten free line up, and created a gluten free craft range in cans.

These days we’re known as one of the breweries with the widest choice of gluten free beers.

And it all started with this easy-drinking, smooth blonde ale that proved just how much demand there really was.

That’s why we love Stud Blonde. ♥️
