This is a very different post for us here at The Old Bell but I consider it one of the most important things I've ever shared or asked for. A young lady named Jasmine Kops has written a book. Here is why it is so important to me, and why I'm asking our entire community to help support her. I know Jasmine personally. She is a young woman of such remarkable strength, courage, kindness and resilience. Like so many young women out there, she has fought tooth and nail for everything she has achieved. She chose to write a candid auto biography and publish it herself. Her book is already on sale at Waterstones and Amazon. Not only am I exceptionally proud of her, in awe of her and inspired by her, but I feel every woman out there should read this book. It's funny, sad, relatable and powerful. Please help me support her by coming to our book launch event this bank holiday Monday, 4th of May, starting at 2pm. I will be selling copies of her book at retail price £10, and the pub will match the sales by donating to her charity of choice, the NSPCC, which helps children in need. This is a casual event, an opportunity to meet and mingle over nibbles and books. Please join me.
