Fresh, light, and perfect for the sunshine ☀️

This week’s Fish of the Day is a beautifully prepared Salmon & Asparagus Salad – a proper spring favourite. Flaky, pan-seared salmon paired with crisp asparagus, fresh leaves, and a light dressing that keeps everything bright and full of flavour.

Ideal for a relaxed lunch in the garden or something a bit lighter in the evening 🍴

We’ve got some great news… 🍻

With the clocks going forward and (hopefully) some better weather on the way, it felt like the perfect time…

From Monday 30th March, we’ll be opening from midday every day – including Mondays and Tuesdays!

Longer days, lighter evenings, and more time to enjoy a pint in the sun or a relaxed meal with friends.

Our new food service times:

Monday – Thursday
12pm – 3pm
5pm – 8:30pm

Friday & Saturday
12pm – 8:30pm

Sunday
12pm – 5pm

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new addition to our menu, proper pies from Pieminister.

Known for their award-winning, seriously good pies, Pieminister have been perfecting the craft for over 20 years, and we’re thrilled to now be serving them here at The Anchor Inn.

Expect golden pastry, rich fillings, and proper pub comfort food, the kind that pairs perfectly with a pint after a walk by the river.

A (Belated) One Year at The Anchor 🎉

On Sunday we quietly passed a milestone, one year since we took over The Anchor Inn.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by. When we first arrived, we had big plans for what The Anchor could become, a proper local pub where people come together for good food, good drinks and good company.

Over the past year we’ve hosted quiz nights, live music, Sunday roasts, Six Nations afternoons, celebrations, and everything in between. We’ve met so many wonderful locals, regulars and visitors who have made the pub feel truly alive again.

Running a pub certainly comes with its challenges, but seeing the bar full, the garden buzzing on sunny days and familiar faces walking through the door each week makes it all worthwhile.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, whether you’ve popped in for a pint, booked a table, come to an event, left us a review, or simply recommended us to a friend. It really does mean the world.

And of course a big thank you to our brilliant team who work incredibly hard behind the scenes to make everything happen.

We’re only just getting started, and we’re excited for everything still to come over the next year.
