๐ŸŽถ ๐“๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ก ๐’๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ weโ€™re delighted to welcome ๐€๐ง๐ข ๐’๐š๐ง๐๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก (Ani Sandwith) to ๐‘๐ž๐ฉ๐š๐ฌ๐Ÿ• ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ for her first appearance on West Street.

A powerful vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Ani blends ๐ง๐ž๐จ-๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ, ๐ฃ๐š๐ณ๐ณ-๐ข๐ง๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฉ, ๐›๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐œ๐ค, with a smoky, soulful voice thatโ€™s earned her praise from BBC Introducing as having โ€œone of those voices that reaches out of the speakers and holds onto you.โ€

Performing nationally since the age of sixteen, Ani has built up an impressive live CV with ๐”๐Š ๐ญ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฅ๐-๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐š๐ญ ๐†๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐›๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฒ, as well as Mouth of the Tyne alongside Sam Fender and Laura Marling.

Her recent single ๐€๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐‹๐จ๐ง๐  shows another side to her sound, pairing a breezy bossa nova groove with jazz-infused arrangements and those distinctive soulful vocals.

Made up of ๐‘๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ž ๐‡๐ž๐ค & ๐๐ข๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐š ๐’๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ, Kingfisher were actually one of the first few acts to perform here when we started our live music nights back in ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ, so itโ€™s great to finally have them back on West Street.

The popular local duo will be bringing a mix of ๐š๐œ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ฅ๐ค ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ & ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ, combining acoustic guitar with close harmonies for a night of stripped-back live music.

You might recognise two thirds of the trio already. ๐๐ž๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐š ๐„๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ก๐ฌ & ๐“๐ก๐ž๐จ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ซ๐ joined us back in July as ๐‘๐š๐ข๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐€๐ง๐ข๐ฆ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ, and this time they return alongside ๐ƒ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ฒ ๐Œ๐œ๐„๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐จ๐ญ๐ญ as international Americana and bluegrass trio Good Guy Hank.

Formed after a spontaneous jam at Dunkeldโ€™s legendary music pub ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐“๐š๐ฒ๐›๐š๐ง๐ค in 2019, the trio brings together musicians from Scotland and Melbourne, Australia, bonded by a shared love of classic country, bluegrass and roots songwriting.

Expect ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐ž๐ž-๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ญ ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, ๐Ÿ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ž, ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง, ๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ซ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐›๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ, with influences stretching from Hank Williams and Bill Monroe through to Lucinda Williams and Drive-By Truckers.

๐ŸŽถ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ This Friday 28th August weโ€™re delighted to welcome Seattleโ€™s Massy Ferguson to Repas7 By Night for their first ever visit to the venue whilst on a UK tour and even better they will be joined by ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ special guest Ben Jordan who weโ€™ve loved hosting in the past.

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Massy Ferguson have spent nearly two decades carving out their own blend of Americana, alt-country, roots rock and straight-up rock โ€™nโ€™ roll, building a reputation as a formidable live band through shows across the US and around the world.

Fronted by Ethan Anderson, their music pairs driving guitars with the storytelling, blue-collar poetry of classic American roots music. Theโ€™ve been said to have touches of Springsteen, Tom Petty, Steve Earle, Whiskeytown and The Jayhawks, while very much sounding like a band whoโ€™ve developed their own identity over seven albums.

Joining them on the night is special guest Ben Jordan, returning to West Street after a couple of previous appearances here and making this a pretty special transatlantic Friday night.

If Americana, country-rock, big guitars and great songwriting are your thing, this is one not to miss.
