Since the City Manager, the Mayor, nor the Midtown Association will give credit where it’s due…I will have to do their job for them…..THANK YOU to the officers who continued fighting for the residents and business owners in Midtown and continued their investigation to gather enough evidence to charge the criminal for all 9-10 of the break-ins that happened the week that Joneck’s was broken into.
I was told that one of the biggest impacts in the officers getting the inspiration to push forward, and not ignore the break-in and collect evidence, was because of my post and you all sharing my posts, and the media covering it…. Consistently.
This is a true testament that staying quiet does not and can no longer work. Especially here in Sac. The leadership in Sacramento has fed off the fear people have to speak out. that fear is why Sacramento and Midtown especially has gotten consistently worse. It is why the city manager has no problem with pushing all of the homeless into Midtown and not any other neighborhood. She knows no one will say anything. No one will hold her, the mayor, or the district supervisor accountable.
That has to stop. 🤞🏾 this news that this person was captured, will inspire other residents and business owners to start speaking up, to start pushing back, and to demand accountability. These are city officials are employees of the residents of Sac. If we held a performance review today in a corporate environment, they would all be fired. With zero severance. Let’s start treating them and holding them accountable like we would any other business situation.
Sac is the Capital of CA, one of the largest economies, & it continues to operate & point fingers like a small town from 1975 (but, even Barney Fife had a conscience).
Instead of doing their jobs, they’re constantly pointing at Gavin Newsom. It’s the only city in CA that blames the governor for why the CITY can’t function, the CITY can’t manage a budget, the CITY can’t support residents or business owners, the CITY can’t manage leadership to the point everyone is leaving the area.
DO YOUR JOB SAC LEADERS. STOP BLAMING GAVIN FOR YOUR FAILINGS.
