I am a beautiful old village pub filled with great real ales and wonderful locals I am a beautiful old village pub filled with wonderful people.

Although I am ancient I always seem to out last the locals and watch the night break and the sun rise! I am a listed building and very important to Ketton's history. I am the only wet house left in Rutland (pub that does not sell food). But do not despair as we do have mouth watering bar snacks - especially on Sundays as we do lovely roasted parsnips and potatoes. We truly cherish our locals at The Railway and look after them well! Our doors are always open to wonderful new faces and the bar men and ladies will make sure you feel greatly welcomed. We hope to see you soon

Afternoon folks.
Chippy tea Monday is back in full swing. Open today from 4:30 - 9pm.
We’re just asking people for their cooperation to help Nanny’s fish and chip van out as much as possible.
They’re ready to take orders from 6pm and stay until 8pm or later so there’s plenty of time for everyone. They will probably turn up earlier than serving time as it’s a one stop shop on Mondays and the fryers when they arrive will be cold. They need the time when they arrive to heat the fryers up before taking orders. All good fun and there’s plenty of nice drinks and ales on to keep you occupied before enjoying your easy tea. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Happy Friday folks. 😁.
Hope you’re keeping well.
Fantastic weather has kept summer alive for as long as it has. Cooler weather currently but who knows what’s coming next.
Congratulations to everyone that went that little bit further in the CAMRA awards to the final 4. It’s not us however but we’re still riding on the success and proud of reaching the final 16 which is more than we could have ever hoped to achieve. We’ll just carry on doing what we know best and delivering the best experience for the customer as we’re able to. 😁
The fish and chip vans return was a great success so hats off to them for their return. They’ll be back on Monday. Service starts at 6pm but we ask everyone politely that if they arrive early it doesn’t mean they’re ready to serve as they need to heat everything up first to provide the best service they can.
