The Fox Country Pub and Dining is an 18th Century Inn idyllically set in the quiet picturesque village of North Luffenham in Rutland, England’s smallest county. An attractive 18th century double fronted stone property with a local collyweston slate roof, the building affords lots of charm and character. u are local to the area, or one of our regular visitors getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Fox undertook an extensive 7 month refurbishment commencing 2014. We proudly reopened its doors in March 2015. It now welcomes customers to a beautiful dedicated restaurant area, a lounge area with warm cosy seating, two inviting wood burners, oak and flagstone flooring, low ceilings with exposed oak beams and a beautiful new oak bar. On the outside there is an attractive and colourful patio garden and a dedicated car park.

Wow what another fantastic afternoon at The Fox 🦊 with thanks to Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band. The sun shone down upon us and a great turnout for an afternoon of great music and vocals.

A special welcome to Rutland’s High Sheriff who presented a High sheriff award to Tony and the UJSB for their community efforts and fundraising over the past 15 years. Congratulations, well done and well deserved 👏

What a wonderful afternoon on Saturday at the bi-annual Fox v Chatter Bowls Club competition. It was a fantastic occasion filled with great company, excellent hospitality, and a brilliant atmosphere throughout the afternoon. The club made everyone feel incredibly welcome and it was clear to see what a friendly and enjoyable environment it is for players of all abilities. The afternoon started with a glass of fizz and fruit and concluded with A traditional cup of tea and homemade sandwich and cake delights.

There were some outstanding performances from both teams, with plenty of competitive spirit and good humour on display. Although the Fox team returned home with the wooden spoon this time, everyone took it in great spirits and enjoyed every minute of the day.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising and hosting such a successful event. It really showed what a great club Chatter Bowls Club is, and I would thoroughly encourage anyone interested to go along, have a go, and perhaps even consider joining.

Already looking forward to the replay in September!
