The Catherine Wheel is probably one of the oldest pubs in Norwich, situated just meters from St Augustines Gate in the city walls! We know that the pub has been in constant use since at least 1740 when records began the licencee was a Mr Lockett. It is thought that when traders and farmers bought their cattle to market in in the city they would have stopped here for an ale and to water their animals from the well!

Whilst tickets are still available there are a handful of spaces left open tonight to pay on the door. For those improv people amongst you that just go with the flow as it happens. If you haven’t ‘planned’ to come and it gets to 6pm and you think “well the pub is open, I’m not doing anything else should I go out and have a good ol’ belly laugh at whatever chaotic humour this is about?” The answer is YES ABSOLUTELY. just pay when you get here, sit back and enjoy……or buy one of the few remaining tickets using the link to be on the safe side.

A heady mix of prizes and cash up for grabs plus the wit of IZZY and ROLY and their comical balls! 🎱

Friday is your fave Dragaoke and this week it’s a double dose of the diva IZZY HARJETT. 🎤

Saturday is mega treat night as we welcome back the amazing Queen
THE MADAME.
We seriously had so many comments about how phenomenal she was you would have November madness not to see her. 👠💄🎤

Sunday is our ‘Pour decisions’ night when hair of the dog seems popular 🤣🤣.
It’s a lovely time to chill and catch on gossip with your friends over a drink or two. 🍺🍷

And a reminder about our upcoming craft fayre Sundays.
Open from 12 til 4 it’s a chance to pop in and see your local crafters goodies. Pubs open and have yourselves a cheeky little mulled w**e and mince pie or take advantage of the pub being open in daylight!

What a fabulous 2 nights of Halloween fun.. just awesome.
Sooo good in fact I forgot to take pics of all the amazing costumes.
A big well done to Lucy Loose on Friday, and Mia Mann on Saturday. Great times.
And thanks to all our staff for working their sassy butts off, and to my son Roly who now seems to be my sister that lives in Benidorm.. 🤣🤣🤣
