QUIZ NIGHT MONDAY

The first and third Mondays of the month are quiz nights at the Plasterers Arms, so come on down for an 8pm start. Quizmasters Sam and Jamie will be testing you on all the usual things: the last fortnight of news, table rounds for both the first and second half, the music round, and a host of other surprises. Will there be some Halloween themed questions? Who knows!

Teams of up to 6 people, £1 per person, a range of prizes up to a £60 bar tab, special cans and bottles from the fridges, and also the super secret mystery bonus(!) to be won, not forgetting the wooden spoon for last placers. Please call the pub during opening hours, or DM on social media to book. All proceeds going to Nansa

Kitchen closed for the quiz, sorry! Feel free to bring in food, or get a takeaway delivered. Plates and cutlery are available.

YONDER BANANA SOUR

A vegan Yonder Brewing banana split sour?! Yes please! Mango, banana, caramel and vanilla combine to make this tropical dessert masterpiece. Grab it while it lasts!

SURESHOT HAZY PALE

Aww, cute Little Sebastian. Don't Be Suspicious is a hazy pale ale with Citra, Riwaka and Dolcita hops, which combine to give a juicy upfront, and peppery finish pale ale, with a lovely sweet softness. Coming in at 5% ABV, this is fruity and soft - great stuff!

YONDER TROPICAL SOUR

Passionfruit, mango and guava combine in this delicious tropical sour from Yonder Brewing Clocking in at 4.2% ABV, this is delightfully sessionable, and no lactose makes it vegan too! Cheers!

ALL DAY RUBY MILD

Dark b**r season is upon us (did it ever really go away?) and just before the porters and stouts come in from the fabulous alldaybrewing there is a cellar aged ruby mild that will tide us over. Chocolately and smooth, this is a deliciosly sessionable b**r considering the 5.4% ABV. Top marks!

POMONA ISLAND HAZY PALE

Phaedra is the house hazy pale from Manchester-based Pomona Island Brew Co and it is fantastic. Bags of tropical fruity haze, as well as being gluten free - cheers!

VERDANT X THORNBRIDGE IPA

A collaboration between the duo of Verdant Brewing Co and Thornbridge Brewery is a great start, and when you find out that the result is an IPA with a little haze, but a focus on dailed up bitterness to balance the fruity hop profile, it sounds even better. High Fives is a 5.9% ABV modern IPA, with Krush, Motueka and Riwaka hops. East meets west, north meets south, Verdant meets Thornbridge - a refreshing combo all round - cheers!

LEFT BOOK CLUB

The Norwich Left Book Club reading group will be meeting next Wednesday evening in the back room of the pub, at 18:30, so feel free to pop down to discuss The Breaking of the English Working Class by Jonas Patrick Marvin. From Thatcher to the unions and individualism, it discusses the desire to rekindle the collective will for change.

POMONA ISLAND DIPA

An 8.1% double IPA with Citra, Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Azacca hops from Pomona Island Brew Co with a White Stripes reference? It Was a Ray Gun and it Was 1981 is a delicious haze bomb, bursting with boozy fruit. Get it before it's gone!
