Unfortunately, we’ve had to cancel this week’s Rusty Krab Takeover Night at Cheese & Bees.
Maybe it’s the world trying to tell us something… and sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things just aren’t meant to be.

We work incredibly hard to try and please everyone, keep things going and bring something a little different to the local area, but if we’re being truthful, it all feels pretty tough at the moment and sometimes feel whats the point.

We’re disappointed, and we know some of you were really looking forward to it too.
BUT… hopefully this isn’t the end of the takeover! 🏴‍☠️🥃

Fingers crossed we can rearrange things and make it happen at the end of the month. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more.

As always, thank you so much to everyone who continues to support Rusty Krab. Every purchase, message, share and bit of encouragement really does mean a lot to us. ❤️

We’re incredibly excited to unveil the next chapter in our packaging journey — our new premium aluminium bottle range.

This isn’t simply a change of bottle. It’s a step towards a more sustainable future for Rusty Krab, while keeping the quality, flavour and character you know and love.

Our new aluminium collection will launch with:

50cl Caramel

50cl Premium Spiced

5cl bottles across the full Rusty Krab flavour range

Designed to look premium, feel distinctive and offer a more sustainable packaging option, our aluminium bottles are made to be part of the next generation of Rusty Krab.

Why aluminium?

We believe great products deserve great packaging — and increasingly, that means thinking about what happens to that packaging after you’ve enjoyed what’s inside.

Aluminium is lightweight, strong, durable and highly recyclable.

Unlike many materials, aluminium can be recycled repeatedly while retaining its core properties. That makes it an important material in the move towards a more circular approach to packaging.

It’s also significantly lighter than glass, helping reduce the weight involved in transporting our products, while being far more resistant to breakage.

Better for the journey. Better for durability. Better suited to a more sustainable future.

And alongside our refill pouches, our new aluminium bottles give you even more ways to enjoy Rusty Krab while making a more conscious packaging choice.

🖤 And don't worry… the iconic square bottle isn't gone!

We know our classic 70cl square bottle has become part of the Rusty Krab identity — and we’re not saying goodbye just yet.

The classic square bottles will still be available, but in limited numbers.

So if you love the original Rusty Krab look, grab one while stocks last.

At the same time, we’re looking forward to seeing our new aluminium bottles become an increasingly important part of the Rusty Krab range.

Built for protection

A lighter bottle. A bigger step forward for Rusty Krab. 🥃♻️

At Rusty Krab, we’ve always believed that great rum shouldn’t have to come with unnecessary packaging.

That’s why we’re excited to be launching our new 500ml and 50ml aluminium bottles, adding another important step to our sustainability journey.
Why aluminium?

♻️ Highly recyclable – aluminium can be recycled repeatedly without losing its fundamental material quality.

🚚 Much lighter to transport – reducing packaging weight compared with traditional glass can help lower the emissions associated with transporting our rum.

💪 Strong and durable – less risk of breakages during transport, at events and in everyday use.

🔄 Perfect alongside our refill system – our existing refill pouches mean customers can keep their bottle and simply refill it rather than buying a new bottle every time.

For us, sustainability isn’t about one big change. It’s about continually looking at how we make, package, transport and sell our products and finding practical ways to do things better.

Our new aluminium range, combined with our refill pouches, is another step towards our goal:
“A bottle is for life, not landfill.”
