Just 3 days to go until the first ever HESKFEST and we’re getting ridiculously excited!

The weather forecast currently seems to be being controlled by a committee of confused squirrels. One minute it’s blazing sunshine, the next it’s threatening rain, then it’s sunshine again.

Our advice?

Whatever the weather decides to do, HESKFEST IS ON!

🍽️ WE’RE HIRING – KITCHEN PORTER 🍽️

CHEADLE HULME – WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The support you’ve shown The Hesketh since we arrived has been incredible. Our kitchen is now busier than ever, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our growing team.

This role would be ideal for:
👨‍🍳 Someone with a genuine interest in food and hospitality
🎓 A college student studying catering, hospitality or professional cookery
🌟 A younger person looking to gain experience in a busy kitchen environment
📅 Someone mainly available on weekends, with the opportunity for extra hours during busy periods

Duties include:
✅ Pot wash and kitchen cleaning
✅ Keeping the kitchen organised and stocked
✅ Supporting the chefs during service
✅ Maintaining high hygiene standards

Experience isn’t essential – we’re happy to teach the right person. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn.

If you’ve ever thought about working in a kitchen, becoming a chef, or simply want to be part of something exciting happening in Cheadle Hulme, we’d love to hear from you.

The World Cup is nearly here and we're excited to bring the action to The Hesketh Tavern.

📺 Every game shown live indoors🍻 Late licence for the late kick-offs⚽ Big atmosphere🎉 Community spirit❤️ Your local pub backing the beautiful game

If you already know you're joining us, please book your table in advance. It helps us plan properly and guarantees you the best seat in the house.

However, being a good neighbour is just as important to us as supporting our team.

🏡 We respectfully ask everyone joining us to help us look after our local residents.

❌ No outside screening of matches❌ No sitting outside after 10pm🚪 Late games will be shown indoors only with doors kept closed

Many of our neighbours have young children who need their sleep and people who need to be up early for work the next morning. We want everyone to enjoy the World Cup while showing consideration for those who live around us.

We are proud to be part of this community and we want to keep it that way.

Father's Day is about celebrating the dads, grandads, stepdads and all the father figures who have been there through thick and thin.

The ones who taught us, supported us, embarrassed us, made us laugh and always seemed to know the answer (or at least pretended they did!).
