Sad tragic news folks!

Our lovely Maddie will be leaving us at the end of this month for an exciting new venture!

She has been with us since I took on the pub, and has evolved into the wonderful Pub Manager that we all know and love today! They are going to be hard shoes to fill!

No doubt there will be some farewell drinks before she goes, so keep your eyes peeled for the date!

Well… what a weekend! Despite being up against it with the weather and adventures with the generators - the Battle Folk & Fable Festival 2026 was an absolute success. And we couldn't have done it with out YOU!

To everyone who came along, watched, listened, danced, laughed, told stories, browsed the stalls, ate, drank, joined in and generally embraced everything the festival had to offer, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, who gave up their time, worked ridiculously hard, got wet, moved things, fixed things, cleaned things, carried things and kept smiling throughout. We quite simply couldn't do it without you.
