A moment for The Pip. 🍒

A new little cherry bomb cocktail, inspired by one of our lovely loyal customers. Ok, we may not have the sun right now, but this is the perfect little Friday night treat regardless, and one that’s now been added to our Friday Sessions drinks offer you’ll be pleased to know. Cocktails are £8.50 from 6–9pm, with no and low options also available and tailored to you.

Friday night, sorted.

From the farm fields, to our kitchen, straight to your plate. 🌿

Being farm-to-table isn’t just something we say, and it’s not just a fad that we’ve jumped on. It’s at the heart of our hart and such a huge part of who we are and our ethos.

Much of the meat on our menu comes from our own , meaning we know exactly where it has come from, exactly how it has been produced and exactly the quality that’s arriving every time and that’s incredibly important to us.

And it’s not just what we serve in the pub. We also offer the opportunity for customers to buy meat directly from us, including bacon, pork sausages, beef burgers, beef mince, osso bucco, fillet steak and ribeye steak.

From pasture-fed beef to the cuts that make their way onto your Sunday dinner, provenance matters to us a lot and we’re proud to be able to offer that.

It doesn’t get much more local than that.

And just like that we welcome September. There’s something about this time of year we love. Summer hasn’t quite said it’s final goodbyes, but there’s that slight change in the air and plenty to look forward to.

The menu begins to move with the season and its ingredients, Sunday lunches start calling our names again, the reds creep back to the table and evenings inside suddenly feel that little bit more inviting.

And there’s a lot more to The White Hart than what arrives on your plate.

We’re a farm-to-table pub at heart, so over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing more of where our food comes from, the people behind it, what’s happening in the kitchen, a little more from our very extensive w**e collection and, of course, a peek upstairs at our rooms for those who fancy staying a little longer with us.

Calling all the cosy vibes this Bank holiday weekend and we’re open for all of it!

To be honest, I think we’ve all been craving a roast dinner and a glass of red, it’s long overdue not just because we don’t love summer but because the farms could all do with a little sprinkling. And nothing beats sitting by the fire on a rainy weekend day. We’re open all weekend, including Monday for drinks.

Our Red of the Month, and this one’s perfect for the summer months that we’re still holding onto.🍷

A 2022 vintage from the south of Chile and a cooler climate, with red cherry popping through. It’s aged for 12 months in oak, giving it those delicious to***co and chocolate notes. Perfect served slightly chilled to bring out the best of those delicious flavours, and outstanding paired with pork, hence our French-cut pork loin being the perfect match. See you Sunday!

Burgers are a firm favourite here, and we’re very proud to be able to source the beef from our very own farm, guaranteeing absolute provenance and, more importantly in our eyes, flavour which delivers every time.

Pasture-fed beef, straight from the farm to your plate, it doesn’t get much better than that. Maybe a little smoked bacon, cheddar, a side of chunky chips and a pint to top it off!

We’re jumping on the Kentish w**e hype and supporting our neighbouring county and the outstanding w**e producers there.

Paul is a huge fan of many of the Kentish vineyards and what they’re producing, hence why you’ll find plenty at the bar.

We’re currently pouring some of our absolute favourites, corkers from Four Daughters in their Albariño and Riesling, stand out Nine Oaks Chardonnay and Pinot Rosé and of course the sparkly goodness with Gusbourne Brut and Squerryes Brut and Rosé. It’s so important that we’re supporting our locals growers and producers and now more than ever! Here’s to them and cheers to them. Some seriously good w**e!

We’re holding onto summer for as long as we possibly can, because we can!

And what that looks like here you ask? Long lunches, dinner on the terrace, something delicious on the table and a cold glass of rose in hand, we’ve got some crackers to choose from!

There’s still plenty of summer left to savour and even if it does feel a bit chilly, we have our undercover space so they’ll be no rush to get back.
