How important is local produce to you? At TRES. it’s where our menu begins. ❤️

There’s been a lot of talk around local food in Tassie after Woolworths confirmed it’ll stop buying Tasmanian beef from 2027, and several Launnie-made Tamar Valley Dairy desserts are also being removed from shelves.

We buy close to home wherever we can. Tasmania has incredible farmers, growers, fishers and makers, and we want to keep seeing their produce on our tables.

When there’s a choice, we’ll keep choosing local. ❤️

✨ Brigadeiro. A trio of Brazilian chocolate truffles with cocoa, coconut + sea salt.

These little things have a surprisingly political past, they became popular in Brazil during Eduardo Gomes’ 1945 presidential campaign. Supporters sold the chocolate sweets at fundraising events. Gomes didn’t win the election, but brigadeiro did.

Ours come three ways: cocoa, coconut + sea salt.

Before there was Tres, there was Hart’s. Before Hart’s, there was the Plough Inn. 🏤 People have been gathering around this corner of Charles + York for close to 200 years. The Plough Inn operated here from the 1830s, W. & F. Hart took over in 1865, and by the late 1800s the Hart building had become part of the Launceston streetscape.

Nearly 200 years later, people are still gathering on this corner. We love being part of its next chapter. ❤️

🥂 For the 2026 Launceston Cup, we joined House of Arras in their Corporate Marquee, serving a Latin-inspired tapas feast alongside their Tasmanian sparkling earlier this year.

We love talking about the people and producers who work alongside Tres, so being with House of Arras for one of Launceston’s biggest days out was an easy yes. Thanks to House of Arras and the Tasmanian Turf Club Inc. for having us.

🔥 There’s plenty of smoke, char, spice and acidity across the Tres menu, from BBQ-spiced lamb belly with salsa gr**go to Bass Strait octopus with ajo blanco, Jerusalem artichoke + pickled red onion.

We take inspiration from across Latin America and the Basque Country, then bring Tassie produce into the mix.

Made for the middle of the table, preferably with a drink close by. 🍷
