GOOD IZAKAYA. GOOD STORIES. Hanashi is a Japanese-Tasmanian Izakaya set in the former Gospel Hall.

We serve traditional Japanese izakaya dishes, local ingredients, sketchy karaoke, the faint smell of church, and good stories.

GOOD NEWS! From tomorrow, we’re going to be giving you what you need, and what you need are some GOOD Hanashi Nights!

We’re adding Monday and Tuesday dinners to our trade for 6 GOOD nights a week!

You may have also noticed for those nights, Karaoke has become more enticing with off-peak pricing Monday to Wednesday so you can start your week off right!

For this weekend, to celebrate all that is Junction, we’re staying open later than so you can get your Hanashi fix!
Snacks until 10pm and Bar until 11pm this Friday and Saturday

Wow 😮 what an incredible opening weekend and what an amazing team 🫶🏻
We’re super proud of what we delivered in our first weekend - we didn’t get right all of the time but we will grow and learn 😊
