Maibock (or Helles Bock) is a strong (6–8% ABV), pale-to-light amber German lager brewed to welcome spring, balancing rich, bready malt with higher hop bitterness (20–38 IBU) than traditional dark bocks. It offers a clean,, crisp finish with moderate body and low toasted malt notes, representing a “strong, pale bock” or “springtime helles”.
