Oakland United Beerworks is a collaborative gathering place where we unite and inspire our community

Oakland is and always has been a beer town; a place where hard-working people would gather together to enjoy locally brewed, fresh beer. As the local population grew, Oakland was affectionately referred to as the "Milwaukee of the West" for its numerous neighborhood-based breweries. Founded in 2009 as Linden Street Brewery, we became the first community-based production brewery in Oakland since Golden West Brewery closed in the 1950s. In 2017, following the sale of our building on Linden Street to a new developer, we moved our operations to the waterfront Jack London District and rebranded as Oakland United Beerworks. With the support of a team of dedicated Oakland craft beer enthusiasts, Oakland United is proud to continue the great beer brewing tradition in Oakland.

Valkyries, reptiles, and a whole lot of fun this Halloween!

We've got a BIG Saturday planned at the taproom! Join us tomorrow, October 31st, from 4-9pm for a Valkyries Watch Party AND our special Things That Creep Fundraiser!

We're setting up a dedicated viewing area for our Valkyries fans to come together, cheer on our team, and enjoy the game with their Oakland community!

Our mezzanine and outdoor areas are getting taken over by some seriously cool creatures! Join us for an evening of creepy, crawly fun featuring:
- Live reptiles & hands-on animal encounters

Best of all, it's FREE to attend! We're raising funds to support Things That Creep and their incredible hands-on science programs in Oakland Public Schools. Come meet some amazing animals and help bring science to life for Oakland students!

Our friends at Lotus Delight will be popping up from 12–8pm, serving everyone's favorite Asian fusion dishes all day long.

Just a quick heads up, we’ll be temporarily closing the taproom from 3–4pm to give our reptilian guests time to settle in, set up their interactive spaces, and get our Valkyries viewing area ready. We'll reopen at 4pm for all the festivities!

Meet Mexican Blanket, our newest seasonal Mexican Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout (8% ABV)!

First brewed as a taproom exclusive last year, it was such a smash hit that we had to bring it back!

Aged on TCHO Ecuadorian cocoa nibs with cinnamon and ancho chiles, this bold sipper brings a little heat, a touch of spice, and hints of smokiness, all wrapped up in a decadent chocolate finish.

Big, dark, and boozy- best enjoyed fireside with a plate of mole. Cozy up with a pour at the taproom or grab a 4-pack for your own fireside nights.

All playoffs long, you’ve shown up at Oakland United with your jerseys, your friends, and enough energy to make the whole Town feel it.

Now, CBS News Bay Area has captured a little of this magic: the Valkyries have found a home here and so have their fans.

To everyone who has cheered, held their breath through a close finish, and high-fived someone they’d just met: thank you. You’ve made these watch parties something special, and we’re proud to be part of it.

For everyone who was super bummed when we sold out of Redwood Red Ale, the wait is officially over.

This malty, delicious 5.5% ABV red ale brings notes of cinnamon, licorice/anise, caramel, honey, grapefruit, and walnut. There's so much to love about this b**r.

Drumroll, please…We’ve got our next Lucky Dog!

Our team drew the big winner this morning! Congratulations to Caitlyn, whose pup will be the star of our next Lucky Dog Hazy IPA can, scheduled to release November 18!

We had SO much fun watching you all participate and drop those raffle tickets, and we were overwhelmed by the support. Thank you to everyone who joined in and gave their doggo a shot at can-cover fame!
