This weekend we’ve got a fresh cheese on our special West Country cheese and c***r matching board!

Wild garlic coved Yarg is made based on a 17th century recipe and is utterly delicious. A creamy and slightly crumbly cheese with a mild flavour from the hand picked wild garlic permeating into it. A real Cornish delight to keep the vampires at bay!

New b**r on tap!

Cold, clear and crisp nights are here and we’ve got a b**r to match.

Burnt Mill Green Hills 26 is the latest version of their yearly green hop b**r. This year fresh Challenger hops were picked from Hukins Farm, Kent, and brewed with the very next day, giving a fresh, vibrant characteristics of citrus, cedar and green tea. The dry hop comprises Simcoe, Cascade and Columbus for vibrant grapefruit and a moreish dose of fresh pine and pepper, leading us to a balanced bitterness.

Something a little different...

When you run a rural country pub, your non alcoholic offering needs to be as strong as the rest of your fare. We have always prided ourselves on our great mix of low/no b**rs & c***rs but had yet to dip into spirits. Until now!

Vault Aperitivo is an independent modern distillery based in Saffron Walden specialising in w**e based vermouth, amari & botanical spirits. They also make a delicious non alcoholic apertivo - which is right up our street!
A delicious mix of herbs, spices and botanicals, it's great with a dash of soda or bottle of tonic and a slice of orange.

Our first cup of cosy Wednesday Chilli was a great success and sold right out! Thanks to all who came down to try! We'll be back next week with something new so stay tuned for another seasonal treat!

As for today, we're open serving our Boards all day 12-8, and from 5-8pm we have our Pizza & a Pint deal on!

Friday, on top of boards & pizzas, we have the wonderful Wagyu Burgers And Street Food🍔 from 4:30-8pm

On Saturday, we have Papas Locas® - Poutine & more bringing their delicious poutine & loaded fries from 2pm-7pm (in case you want to fill up before heading to the fireworks!)

It's Wednesday, it's a bit chilly....so let's have some Chilli!

Dani has whipped up a big hearty bowl of chilli, featuring mince from Bures based Sam Morgan!
Ellie has also been baking her fresh loaves of homemade sourdough, the fires are ticking away - quite frankly, the pub smells great! 🥰
Served with 2 slices of sourdough and a big k**b of Fen Farm Dairy Bungay Butter!

Acoustic Night kicks off tonight from 7pm so grab a bowl while you listen along!

Congratulations to Fairfields Farm Crisps who are celebrating 20 years in business. Since we reopened the pub in April 2021 we've sold 12,493 packets of their delicious crisps (and eaten a fair few ourselves)!

The newest b**r on the taps is a real seasonal treat! Many of you will be fans of Braybrooke B**r Co Helles that we have available permanently, this is its maltier cousin.

Braybrooke Harvest Festbier is based on the classic Märzen served at Oktoberfest for nearly a century, this version is a celebration of malt: juicy, rich, with notes of freshly baked bread and marzipan. Balanced with just the right amount of hops this is an incredibly special and drinkable celebration b**r!

We’ve made the CAMRA Good B**r Guide again. The White Horse has been home to good b**r for decades, probably centuries. We’re proud to be continuing the tradition and to be recognised by CAMRA is a great honour.

As part of our c***r festival we have produced some c***r vinegar pickled eggs!

Local free range eggs in local c***r vinegar with a pinch of salt. Basic but delicious. Try one in a packet of pork flavoured crisps.
