Do you want to back your favourite venue, help your high street and support local jobs? Then sign this petition to lower the rate of VAT for hospitality to 10%.

Our pubs, restaurants, cafes, hotels, nightclubs and many more, are at the heart of our communities.

They bring people together and bring life to our cities, towns and villages, but they're under huge pressure from rising costs.

In the UK, you pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe. 20% extra in VAT for your meal out or stay away. In France, Spain and Italy, it's 10%. In Germany? 7%.

Our message to Government is simple. Let's stand together to say VAT at 10% is fair for hospitality.

Reduce VAT on hospitality to 10% to prevent closures & protect tax revenue. When venues close, HMRC loses 100% of its VAT, business rates, PAYE & corporation tax, reducing employment & supply chains. We believe a lower VAT rate would keep viable businesses trading, securing jobs & ongoing revenue.

🍻❤️🍷 Please note that one of Suffolk's most loved and iconic pubs, The , is open from Wednesday to Sunday weekly serving fabulous food and fine beverages with great service and a fabulous atmosphere. Do peruse their menu while waiting for your delicious fish & chips and become a patron. The pub is also up for sale making it an opportunity of a lifetime.

We always get a little nervous with Half Price offers and please understand it will be busier - our larger stock may run out. We are a REAL small East Anglian family business, eg not a Birmingham owned national franchisee.

To all our lovely customers old & new, we feel it only right to make you all aware that the pub has gone up for sale.
Beverley has made the decision to retire after over 25yrs in the pub and 11yrs ownership.
We want to reassure you that business will continue as usual, with the same staff.
The pub is being sold as a going concern, not closing.
We look forward to seeing you all over the coming weeks.
