Evening!

This Saturday I’ll be heading over to Southport, one of the North West’s best-known seaside towns. It’s famous for its elegant Victorian architecture, the impressive tree-lined Lord Street, its long pier and the wide open coastline stretching out towards the Irish Sea. Southport also has plenty of traditional seaside character, with Marine Lake, historic hotels and grand old buildings giving the town a very distinctive feel.

I’ll be spending the afternoon and evening exploring a good selection of pubs around the town, taking in a mix of traditional places, well-known favourites and a few different stops along the way. I’ve got a full route planned, so it should be a busy but enjoyable day with plenty of good b**r and a chance to see a bit more of Southport as I make my way around.

If I’m planning to pop in and visit you, I’d really appreciate a share of this post — and if you see me out and about, feel free to come and say hello! 🍻
