As the colder evenings creep in, we’re leaning fully into cosy season… and this might just be our new favourite way to warm up.

Introducing our liquor hot chocolates, available for £7.50 each.

Choose from Tia Maria, Baileys, Disaronno, Kraken, Morgan’s Spiced or Jameson and settle in with something rich, warming and just a little bit indulgent.

And that’s not all… we’re also getting ready to launch our Christmas cocktails too.

There’s nothing better than finishing a good walk with a well-earned drink, something tasty to eat and your four-legged friend right beside you.

At The Robin Hood, we have designated dog-friendly areas so you can relax together, plus fresh water and bowls ready and waiting for thirsty pups, plus treats behind the bar, just ask a member of staff 🦴

Whether you’re popping in after a countryside walk, meeting friends for lunch or simply fancy a stop-off in the garden, dogs are absolutely part of the plan here.

Well… whoever had the kiwi nails, take a bow. 😂🥝👏

What a lovely review to receive! From being recommended by a colleague, to arriving on a busy Monday evening and leaving with such kind words about our food, atmosphere and brilliant team, this absolutely made us smile.

We’re especially pleased the seabass, haddock and our not-so-small small Caesar salad all went down so well.

As those cooler evenings start to creep in, we think there’s only one thing for it… proper comforting pub food.

Think hearty homemade pies, warming bowls of delicious soup, rich seasonal flavours and those cosy dishes that just seem to taste even better when there’s a chill in the air.

Our kitchen team have been busy working behind the scenes, and we cannot WAIT to show you what’s coming.

WREATH MAKING IS BACK AT THE ROBIN HOOD!

After such a brilliant response last year, we’re so excited to be hosting two festive wreath-making evenings this December, lovingly led by 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐿𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝐻𝑜𝓊𝓈𝑒 𝒪𝒻 𝒲𝒾𝓃𝓈𝑒𝓇

Come along for a cosy, creative evening and make your own beautiful Christmas wreath to take home.

🎄 £50 per person
🥂 £55 per person including a welcome drink

Fancy making a whole evening of it? You can dine with us beforehand, or add a cheeseboard for £9 per person to enjoy alongside the workshop.

These evenings are always such a lovely way to get into the festive spirit, perfect with friends, family or as a little Christmas treat for yourself.

We’re doing New Year’s Eve a little differently this year… and it’s going to be rather special.

Introducing our New Year’s Eve Daytime Celebration at The Robin Hood, all the indulgence, entertainment and occasion of NYE, without the late-night taxis, childcare juggling or fighting to stay awake until midnight. 😉

Join us from 12pm for arrival drinks before settling in for an exquisite seven-course tasting menu, carefully created by our kitchen team for a truly memorable final meal of 2026.

Alongside the food, DJ Dean John will be bringing the entertainment with music and a brilliantly fun quiz throughout the afternoon, creating the perfect celebratory atmosphere.

Think beautifully prepared courses, glasses raised around the table, fantastic music, plenty of laughter and all the excitement of New Year’s Eve… just a little earlier.

Then, at 6pm, carriages await. Head home, get comfy, see in the New Year with your family and friends.

Last year’s wreath making evening was such a huge success that this Christmas… we’re doing it twice!

We had such a lovely time creating beautiful festive wreaths, enjoying a few drinks and getting properly into the Christmas spirit, so this year we’re bringing it back with two wreath making evenings at The Robin Hood.

We’ll be sharing the dates and full booking details very soon, but for now consider this your little festive heads-up.

If you know someone who would love an evening of creativity, Christmas cheer and good company, tag them below so they know it’s coming!

These were incredibly popular last year, so once the dates are released we’d recommend getting booked in quickly.

Thank you. Truly. 🤍

We have been completely overwhelmed by the kindness, support and lovely words following our previous post, and we just wanted to say how incredibly grateful we are.

The Robin Hood is so much more than a business to us. It’s something we pour our hearts into every single day, and we feel incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful community of customers, both those who have supported us for years and those who have only recently discovered us.

You all help make this pub what it is, and we never take that for granted.

We also wanted to reassure everyone that our garden is still very much open, the bouncy castle is still there for little ones to enjoy, and families are, as always, incredibly welcome. The recent damage was upsetting, but it doesn’t change how much we love being a family-friendly pub and creating a space where children can have fun too.

So please keep bringing your families, your friends and your little people. We would absolutely love to see you. 🤍

Thank you again for championing us, supporting us and reminding us just how special our little pub community really is.
