🍴 NEW MENUS LAUNCHING FRIDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER! 🍴

We’ve been busy making a few changes in the kitchen at The Butchers Arms, and our brand-new menus officially launch tomorrow, Friday 11th September!

Expect proper pub favourites, plenty of homemade dishes and something for everyone, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free choices.

We’ve also got a new Children’s Menu, a delicious selection of homemade desserts, and then on Sunday 13th September our Sunday Roasts are BACK from 12-4pm.🥩🍗

🥧 We’ll also be having a Pie of the Day, so keep an eye on our Specials Board to see what’s cooking!

Good, hearty pub food, cooked with care and served The Butchers way. ❤️

🏆 A huge congratulations to the team at The Catherine Wheel, Goring! 🏆

I am incredibly proud of my brother Dan, sister-in-law Kat and the wonderful Vanessa (along with Jamie and Sam also pictured) on winning the Brakspear Heart of the Community Award. ❤️

And I genuinely cannot think of a more deserving team.

For over 10 years, they have poured so much time, energy and heart into The Catherine Wheel. They’ve organised countless community events, raised thousands of pounds for charities and good causes, supported local people and turned The Catherine Wheel into a true hub of the Goring community.

A great pub is about so much more than what’s behind the bar. It’s about the people, the friendships, the support and having somewhere that genuinely feels like part of the community.

This award recognises exactly that.

Definitely a very proud sister moment for me! ❤️ Seeing everything Dan, Kat, Vanessa and the whole Catherine Wheel team have put into the pub and their community recognised like this is just amazing. You should all be incredibly proud of what you've created.

Congratulations to the whole Catherine Wheel team ..... the Heart of the Community Award couldn't have gone to a more deserving bunch! 🥂🏆❤️

🎉 WOW… WHAT A DAY! 🎉

We honestly cannot thank everyone enough for making The Butchers Arms’ 1st Anniversary Party such an incredible success! ❤️

We welcomed SO many new and familiar faces, and the turnout was way beyond anything we expected. Seeing the pub, garden and marquees absolutely packed with people celebrating with us was amazing.

🎶 A HUGE thank you to all of our acts for getting the party started and keeping it going! You were absolutely brilliant and helped make the day what it was.

❤️ To my staff......you are all fantastic. You worked your socks off, kept smiling through the absolute madness and completely smashed it. I’m incredibly lucky to have such a brilliant team around me.

🔥 Karen, Nikki, Molly & Rosie...... you absolutely SMASHED the BBQ! The amount of food you got out was incredible. Thank you for working so hard and keeping everyone fed!

🥰 To our family and friends who travelled from near and far to celebrate with us, and to everyone who sent us cards, messages and good wishes.......THANK YOU. Your support means more than you know.

And finally, I couldn't finish this post without mentioning those who doubted us, criticised us, talked about us and waited for us to fail...

Sorry to disappoint you. 😉

You gave us plenty of reasons to prove you wrong ....so we did.

Despite the negativity, the rumours, the challenges and everything thrown our way, yesterday we celebrated ONE WHOLE YEAR at The Butchers Arms surrounded by an incredible number of people who chose to come out and support us.

And THAT speaks louder than any gossip ever could.

We came. We stayed. We did it. 🍻

Now bring on YEAR TWO..... because we're only just getting started! ❤️

And to every single customer who has supported us, visited us, recommended us, shared our posts or simply popped in for a pint over the last 12 months...

🥤 REUSABLE 1ST ANNIVERSARY ECO-CUPS – £2 EACH

For our anniversary party on Saturday 5th September, all drinks will be served in our very own limited-edition Butchers Arms 1st Anniversary reusable eco-cups!

Cups will cost £2 each, helping us speed up service across both bars, reduce waste AND raise money for Veterans In Action. 🇬🇧

And of course, the cup is yours to keep as a little souvenir of our first anniversary! ❤️

As many of you know, we are a military family, with Paul having proudly served 27 years in the Royal Engineers, so supporting the veteran community means an enormous amount to us.
