The Bird In Hand is a 14th-century inn located in Knowl Hill, near Maidenhead, offering comfortable and stylish ensuite accommodation, and a very warm welcome. We’re passionate about great food and drink, with a focus on seasonality, local produce, and our famous steaks cooked in the Josper charcoal oven. The nearest train station is Twyford, accessible from London in 30 minutes. Reading, Legoland and Windsor Castle are all reached within 20 minutes’ drive, with Heathrow Airport just 10 miles away.

🚨Great news alert🚨

Since launching Hops & Glory, we’re delighted to share that we’ve already pledged an incredible £20,000 for charity, with another month still to go!

We’re donating £10 from every cask sold to be split between Shout and the Licensed Trade Charity (LTC), supporting the people at the heart of British farming and hospitality. And that means every pint of Hops & Glory you buy helps us raise even more for these two brilliant causes.

👏 A huge thank you to everyone who’s enjoyed a pint of Hops & Glory so far. We can’t wait to see how much more we can raise before the campaign comes to an end!
