WE CAVED!

We just couldn’t wait any longer…

With the weather absolutely terrible today, we thought it was time to get one of our fires lit!

The pub is lovely, warm and toasty — just how your local should be as we head into the winter months!

We hope everyone is doing okay after the storm. If you’re still without power, make sure to pop in, warm up and have a cuppa on us!

Because honestly, who doesn’t love a nice cup of tea?

POWER ISSUES – A LITTLE VILLAGE REMINDER

We’re aware that following last night’s storm, quite a few homes in the village and surrounding areas are still without power, with some outages possibly continuing late into tonight. 😔

Just a friendly reminder that as long as we have power, our doors are open to you!

If you need somewhere warm to sit, want to charge your phone or other devices, or simply fancy a cuppa to warm you up, pop in and see us.

The kettle’s on us! No one should have to sit without power if we can help.

Boo says your furry family members are welcome too! We’ll have water bowls and treats on us for your four-legged friends.

🍂 WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE NEW INN? 🧡

We’ve got plenty going on over the next couple of weeks, so get those diaries out and come join the fun! There’s a little something for everyone, from fundraising and quizzes to Halloween celebrations and a taste of Christmas coming early!

Saturday 24th October – Halloween Race Night
Come along, have a laugh and help us raise some much-needed money for our village Christmas lights! (Small bets - £1 cash)

Sunday 25th October – Halloween Quiz Night
That’s right… EVERY category is Halloween-themed! Get your team together and see if you can take the crown! (£2 per person cash entry) 🕸️

Saturday 31st October – Halloween Party
Fancy dress is encouraged! We’ll have Halloween drinks specials, spooky music and a good ol’ time! Kids activities in the day time, party on late into the witching hours...

Every Wednesday – FREE POOL
Grab your mates and come down for a game or two on us!

Monday 2nd November – BINGO
Eyes down and dabbers at the ready! Booking is highly advised, so get in touch to secure your spot.

Monday 16th November – CHRISTMAS MENU LAUNCH!
It’s nearly time! We’ll be releasing our Christmas menu in the next couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled...

We've just had a set of car keys handed in at the pub, found somewhere between Asda and The New Inn.

Don't worry, they're safe and sound with us! There's an AirTag attached, so hopefully you'll know they're here and come to collect them soon! 🤞

If they're yours, just pop in and let us know the name on the keys before we hand them over. 🙂

A LITTLE UPDATE FOR TUESDAY 27TH OCTOBER

Due to electrical works taking place, we won’t be open during the day on Tuesday 27th October.

Providing everything goes to plan, we’re hoping to reopen at 5.30pm for both the bar and kitchen, ready to welcome you back as usual!

BUT… a little message for our lovely villagers!

With the planned power cuts coming up, if you find yourself without power and fancy somewhere to escape to for a bit, you’re always welcome at The New Inn!

Pop in, charge your devices, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee on us, and have a little natter. We’re a friendly bunch, promise!

Sometimes it’s just nice to have somewhere warm and welcoming to go while you wait for the lights to come back on.

Just remember, this offer doesn’t apply on Tuesday 27th October, as we’ll be closed during the day ourselves!

SOMETHING NEW IS COMING TO THE NEW INN!

We’ve had something returning, something staying… and now it’s time for something new!

A classic pub dish with a New Inn twist! It’s been tried, it’s been tested… and well, it’s absolutely delicious! 😋

Introducing our newest addition to the winter menu… THE 3 LITTLE PIGGIES!

Two juicy Cumberland sausages, hog’s pudding & bacon, served with creamy mashed potatoes and our rich stout onion gravy. Proper comfort food with SO much goodness on one plate!

Our new menu launches TOMORROW from 12pm!

We can’t wait for you lovely lot to give it a try!

A couple of our family favourites…

First up, the well-beloved Bacon Cheeseburger! Loved for both its size and flavour, this one's staying exactly as it is. Because honestly, why mess with something that's just almost perfect?! 🤣

Next up, our delicious Chicken Wings! These aren't going anywhere, but we thought it was time to give them a little extra oomph! Say hello to our new Sticky Cajun wings. Deep in flavour with a subtle hit of heat… what's not to love?!

OUR NEW MENU LAUNCHES THIS FRIDAY, 16TH OCTOBER!

We've gone back to what we love most at The New Inn — proper pub classics, some classics with a twist 😉 and plenty of homemade goodness! Think hearty, warming dishes, delicious flavours and the kind of food that makes you want to pull up a chair, get cosy and stay a little longer.

We're also proud to continue working with our awesome butchers, Brian Etherington's! Well known for their quality produce, they're a name we're proud to have behind plenty of our meaty goodness.
