Apparently, one ABBA night wasn't enough. We're very happy about that.

They've played Verona before, and now our ABBA tribute is back for Friday 27 November. There's a whole month to get a table together, dig out something sparkly if you fancy it, and discover which of your friends takes the backing vocals far too seriously. A little head start on the Christmas nights out.

Tuesday 17 November at Verona, games from 1pm. Three games, a pizza or pasta and a drink for £20, with prizes worth arguing over. First time we've done it, so bring the daytime crowd: the friends who can do a Tuesday, the couple who fancy a change, the works lunch that needs livening up.

Last few tickets for Neil Diamond this Friday, and they won't hang about.

We've got a Neil Diamond tribute night at Verona Kitchen & Bar this Friday, 30 October, with the show starting at 8.30pm. It's £30 a head, including a two-course meal before the music. Dinner first, then a chance to find out who at your table knows every word.

Pumpkins carved, costumes sorted, and tea's still a mystery. Not this week.

Haikel's Halloween specials are on the board at 51 High St from now until Saturday night, then they vanish. A bit of pumpkin, a bit of blood orange, a slow-cooked something that's worth leaving the sofa for. Half term, dark by five, a table booked. That's the spooky season done properly.
