Next up on the terrace is Lughnasadh (LOO-nuh-suh)

This ancient Gaelic festival marks the beginning of the autumn harvest season and is celebrated by baking bread with the first grains, gathering seasonal fruits, and honoring the Celtic sun god Lugh.

Through the day we will have a few bits and bobs about the pub to honour the harvest and later in the day we're bringing you Guapanelas on the terrace with singer Stephanie Santiago.

Newcastle band Guapanelas are joined on the terrace by Columbian singer Stephanie Santiago - Music coming all the way from London to grace our beer garden!

Finishing up our incredible lineup tonight is Rapasa Nyatrapasa Otieno

Rapasa Nyatrapasa Otieno is a multidisciplinary artist encompassing music, storytelling, contemporary dance, visual arts and instrument making. His focus is on the traditional East African culture’s relevance in today's global world with the 8 string lyre from Kenya called nyatiti at its centre. To explore this topic further with the community he founded Nyatiti NyaDala CIC.

Next up for tomorrow's meadow sessions......
Sam Baxter + Merle Harbron

Sam Baxter and Merle Harbron are an Anglo/Scottish duo creating dynamic, full-
bodied arrangements of contemporary and traditional music. Using fiddle, drones and
voice, the pair build vibrant musical landscapes, weaving together melodic lines
inspired and improvised from traditional songs and dance music.
Two highly-skilled musicians, Sam Baxter and Merle Harbron create intimate
performances that in an instance can pivot from reflective and nuanced to driving and
energetic. Together, they are a force of nature; captivating audiences with their
infectious interplay and magnetic musical spirit.
They will be joining Finlay Rushworth and Rapasa Nyatrapasa Otieno
Event starts at 6pm and it is all free
