We’ve got two brilliant events coming up in the next few weeks, here’s a little info on the first!!

TRAD B**R WEEK
Celebrating traditional and heritage b**rs from the UK and beyond.

This was originally pencilled in to start on Monday 19th August but we’re kicking things off with an early preview and b**r launch the day before.

Local legends & have joined forces to produce a delicious nitro ESB as part of F&L 10th anniversary celebrations.

We’ll be launching it at around 3pm on Sunday 18th October with Red & Sandy both on hand.

Alongside that we’ll have up to 6 UK cask pouring at a time alongside a couple of treats from Belgium and Germany for a bit of variety.

One of the centrepieces of the week is a brand new x **rofsmod Old Ale brewed on Thornbridge’s Union kit.

We’ll have that pouring from Sunday too but if you want to get your hands on that one you’ll have to be quick!

🇪🇸 Spanish Classes Return
are back hosting their informal Spanish lessons.

Plus all of the usual cask and keg goodies with a very special Impy Stout waiting in the cellar!!!

Thank to everyone that joined us last week, and thanks for everyone’s understanding on an unseasonably busy Saturday.
We didn’t think we’d have to bust the (non)plastic out at this time of year but there you go.

SAVE THE DATE!!

That’s right, Bristol’s finest and one of our most favourite breweries are coming to Byker, and it’s just next week!!

We’ve been buying LHG b**r since the very beginning and they’re a regular presence of the bar through the year!

It’s been far too long in the making but next week we’re welcoming the team to The Free Trade for a takeover weekend starting with a First Pour of their annual Green Hopped b**r, Hunter’s Moon.

Hunter’s moon will be one of FOUR casks pouring alongside FIVE kegs at a time, featuring some LHG classics and fresh as fresh can be specials!!

The LHG team will be here on Friday teatime with b**rs pouring through the weekend!

Hola!

The weather may have turned but never fear, it’s Pizza and Quiz Night!!

will be here from 4.30 today, and every Wednesday through the winter.

Not to lay it on thick or anything, but these are the nights where we’d love to see a nice turnout for the to make it worthwhile coming.

Their pizza is ace and deserves to be in your hands 😀

The quiz starts at 9pm with the usual shenanigans. Free entry. Bar tabs prizes for each round. Free beige buffet featuring the North East’s most beloved supplier.

Lots of tasty stuff on the bar too but that’s for later!
