This is amazing 🤩 you can vote for us on their website - maybe, the tubs dinners could make number one 😍

You have told us your best places for a Sunday dinner in the North East this year 🍽️

And, after nearly 700 nominations, we have our shortlist and it's time for you to pick a winner.

Now, we know readers of ChronicleLive have some pretty strong opinions when it comes to Sunday dinners.

Last year nearly a thousand of you cast your votes for our 2025 champion of the roasts, as it turned into a two horse race between The Gibside Hotel in Whickham and The Tempus in Northumberland.

Ultimately, it was The Gibside that took the crown but this time round, last year's winner hasn't made the shortlist, with a few places tied on the same amount of votes as we need to extend our top 10 to a top 11.

And after you've decided which places are in the running, now it's time for you to vote for a winner, which you can do so by having your say in the poll in our article.

🌶️ WOULD YOU COME TO A PROPER CURRY NIGHT AT THE TUB? 🍛

We’re considering something completely new for Thursday nights at The Turbinia… and we want to know if you’d be up for it.

🇮🇳 AUTHENTIC INDIAN CURRY NIGHT

Not your average pub curry.

We’re talking proper Indian curries, made from traditional recipes using quality, fresh ingredients — packed with flavour and made the way they should be.

Before we make Thursday Curry Night a reality, though, we want to hear from you.

WOULD YOU COME? 👀

❤️ Like this post if you’d give it a go.
💬 Tell us your favourite curry in the comments.
🌶️ Mild, medium or properly hot?
👥 Tag the person you’d bring along.

If Walkergate wants a proper curry night, we might just have to make it happen…
