EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT.

Very excited to announce that we are going to be at the Toffee Factory for the annual Christmas market on Thursday 4th December, 5-9pm. We will be joining our friends on their stall selling some wonderful R4F goodness. Our latest batch of Poissonnerie London dry gin will be available to take home as will be our very first piece of wearable merch.

That’s right, we made our first Room For Fishes teeshirt. This will be a very limited first run of fifty pieces and will be available in M, L and XL. All teeshirts are a super high quality modern heavy fit so we always recommend buying a size up for a relaxed look.

This is free event for all ages so we are looking forward to seeing all of you delightful fishes down there.

VIENNESE WALTZ (or Viennese lemonade if you will)

We couldn’t help but whip up a drink as soon as we tasted the saffron vermouth from

We recently made a batch of .tv burnt lemon syrup (although we added a touch of fresh ginger and tarragon to ours) and now can’t stop drinking lemonade all day long. So we couldn’t help but combine the two with our poissonnerie gin.

25ml Poissonnerie gin
20ml Saffron Vermouth
10ml burnt lemon and ginger syrup
20ml fresh Lemon juice
2 tarragon leaves
Top with sparkling water

Totally refreshing and totally delicious.

It’s always a great day when we get to taste new things here at R4F HQ. We couldn’t be more excited when the lovely Silvia from sent us some lovely liquid all the way from Vienna. We are forever grateful as we have been loving everything she does and we finally we get to taste the goods.

PASTEL DE NATA

This ingredient came out of curiosity more than anything. But when it comes to drinks and food a curious mind is always a good thing.

Shout out to for the original inspiration. Alex posted a video for toasted milk powder syrup and we thought it sounded great. So we picked up some to see what would happen.

In a dry pan we lightly toasted the custard powder until it browned nicely and then after cooling we blended that into a rich 2:1 sugar syrup along with some miso paste. The final result tasted like, well we can only describe the flavour as liquid pastel de nata.

This ingredient will no doubt make an appearance on any bar you see me on over the coming months where we will be working on some new stuff for our new project.

ABOUT LAST WEDNESDAY: PHOTO DUMP

We had a glorious evening down .ouseburn last week. Showcasing a few of our new drinks and brand new London dry gin and Turkish negroni no.2. If you managed to get a ticket thank you so much for joining us for the evening. It was so special hanging out with you all.

A big mention to our distiller Luke from who helped out talking all things poissonnerie gin on the evening.

A special mention goes out to and the Ernest gang for helping out throughout the course of the evening. We love you all and love coming to hang out in the back room for these events. (Let’s do another one soon) that back room is super cool and it’s the perfect addition to the rest of Ernest.

Another name drop must go to for supplying us with a perfect array of floral colours to match the botanicals in our gin, Thank you so much.

We have far too much to tell you about over the next week or so. But until then, here’s a selection of photos of numerous drinks and thirsty faces.
