It’s a proper bittersweet one today as we say farewell to Daniel, who is moving on from managing Elder Beer to pursue a career in brewery sales.

We (and many of our regulars) thought this day would never come! But after 6 years at Elder we couldn’t be more grateful for Dan for everything he’s done for us and we’re so proud of him for taking the leap to face a new challenge.

He’s done his time behind the bar over the years: you’ll have seen him at The Hussar, The Ship, The Free Trade Inn (where Dan & Ed met) and here at Elder Beer.

Daniel helped make this place what it is, right from the first coat of paint, the first nail and the first pint (and our first lock-in).

He leaves the trade a legend in the game, and his boots will be massive to fill.

🌸 We’ve been pouring since 2021 when we first had taps (who remembers the modified chest freezer??).
🤝 Their sales guy, Sam, took a punt on us and convinced DEYA to offer their support, which allowed us to upgrade our shed into a proper cold store. Thanks to their trust, we now have 10 beers on tap and sell 1000 pints of Steady every month (not bad for a neighbourhood pub).
✨ Now they’re solidifying Elder Beer as a DEYA Pub by helping us with some upgrades and throwing a party, so we invite you to come and celebrate this partnership with us!
