BIG FOAM IS BACK
We know it’s well loved in our gaff so for a limited time it’s pouring on our house l***r line, usually occupied by Donzoko Brewery and Taproom ‘s main banger Northern Helles. Helles will be back promptly as soon as you reliable l***r louts drain the keg dry, drinking glorious foamy pint after pint. WHILE STOCKS LAST GET INVOLVED!!

BAMPA IS HERE!!!
We always love this time of the year, Beak drops one of the finest bitters in the country and we buy a load of it because you lot always hoover it up! We’ve got 216 pints of the stuff but that often doesn’t last long with this perennial pint. It just goes down too easy!

Our beloved house l***r Donzoko Brewery and Taproom Northern Helles has relaunched with a brand new look! They’ve got a slick classic logo across the badges, cans and mats as well as some stunning new glassware and merch modelled beautifully here by our very own l***r lover Georgia who’s “staff pick” on the board never shifts from the golden glory of Helles, as well as by myself and Eric our number 1 l***r consuming regular who’d never be caught dead drinking out of anything other than his personal ceramic l***r mug. New fancy look, same classic taste! Get it down ya!

A little while ago Ideal Day Family Brewery were kind enough to offer us one of these beautiful pub mirrors, the gathered up some excellent second hand mirrors which were then cleaned up and turned into a classic pub mirrors which style featuring their always lovely branding. We had it in storage for a while to figure out exactly where we wanted it and finally it’s gone up suitably pride of place at the end of the bar. Thanks again to the folks at Ideal Day for helping our pub to look extra amazing!!

You know them. You love them. We love them. Ideal Day Family Brewery have graced our cellar once again with their latest crop of fantastic b**rs. The top three are your cask goodies, the bitter has been pouring for a few days and going down more than a treat with all who have selected it, the pale should be on later this week and the stout over the weekend or early next week. As for the two kegs we have a fair bit of Oktoberfest stuff still to get through, but something this good is always worth waiting a little while for. Their l***red b**rs are always stunning and we can’t wait to taste whatever the South West Coast IPA has in store. This small scale, family ran brewery have always done things with peerless quality and modest class delivering b**rs that focus on ingredients, freshness, land, and heritage. Quietly one of the best out there brewing it. Pop down in the coming weeks to discover just exactly what we’re raving about.

P.s. I don’t know if you guys named the b**r after Gnarls Barkley but thanks for the excellent background music opportunity 🙏

A MOUSE FAV OF THE MOMENT

After the first of our “mouse fav of the moment” posts highlighted the excellent Closet Brewing it only felt fitting to follow up with a post about the brewery at which Closet do their brewing. Jani from STENROTH BREW CO-OP popped in a couple weeks back for a lovely chat about this wonderful worker’s co-op brewery, and kindly left some cans with us to sample. We were so impressed with the quality that we stuck an order straight in for these four brilliant cans and so far people have been loving them.

The two hazys at the bottom boast plenty of mouthwatering juiciness for those who like a good opaque cloud pour, the NZ Pils pitches things beautifully bringing all those soft sweet shop fruit flavours you associate with NZ together with a mega crisp and crushable pilsner backbone, and then the One Year Later is a SUPER impressive classic American IPA boasting big piney resinous west coast flavours that will turn the head of any enjoyer of proper old school IPAs.

These have been moving quick and some are near gone so get down soon if you don’t wanna miss out on the new hype, but fear not as we’ll certainly be eyeing a top of of Stenroth in the near future!

OKTOBERFEST IS HERE!!!
Loads of keg and cask which will be drip fed over the coming weeks, once the space frees up we’ll be keeping three dedicated keg lines for Oktoberfest gear plus a cask line for the couple of delicious Scottish efforts we have in store. Not to mention a fridge shelf full of other wonders if you’ve drank yourself daft with the draught offerings! Always a great time of year for b**r 🙌🇩🇪

Next week we lucky enough to have three HUGE b**rs by Cloudwater Brew Co and Vault City Brewing featuring Cloudwater Grounded Coffee Imperial Stout at 11%, Vault City Grounded Vanilla Gelato Barleywine at 12.1%, and then Common Ground Affogato 11.6% the collab that brings together a blend of both b**rs. There are only 8 KEGS of the non-blended impy and barleywine available ANYWHERE and we’ve got the only ones in the North East, so if big fun b**rs are your thing then make sure you’re down on Thursday the 17th at 6pm to get your fill!
