While the Duke of York is officially closed and no longer operating as a bar, with the building now being developed into flats, we wanted to do something a little different this Halloween.
Rather than let the memories fade away, we wanted to bring a little bit of the Duke back to life. 👻

A collection of tracks from the DJs who once played behind the decks, featuring the regularly played hits that filled the dancefloor, soundtracked the nights and made the Duke what it was.
From the hands-in-the-air anthems to the tunes that take you straight back to a Friday or Saturday night on Wallsend High Street, this one's for everyone who was part of it.

This is very much a work in progress. It'll be updated often, but not regularly. We're adding tracks as we remember them, discover them and hear from the people who helped make those nights special.
Three years. Countless nights. Thousands of memories.
The building might be changing, but the music and the memories will always be part of the Duke of York.
So this Halloween, let's raise a glass to the venue, the DJs, the staff and everyone who ever danced, sang, laughed or made a memory with us.
