Thank you to everyone who brought their lovely children along for our annual pumpkin carving. We had such good fun, and it was a pleasure to see families coming together around the tables.

A little taste of this week’s menu at the Berkeley Arms

Buttermilk-soaked pheasant fingers, crisp and golden, and pheasant breast served with tomato and butterbean cassoulet, sautéed greens and pheasant potato toast.

Each day we receive hundreds of phone calls which consist of guests booking tables, enquiring about large parties and many many sales calls but at 4pm yesterday we received a call that we certainly were not expecting! After being nominated by an anonymous person a few months ago we have been secretly judged and we can proudly say that we have been awarded “Village pub of the year-Leicestershire”. It is an honour just to be nominated but to win is just amazing.
This accomplishment goes to the team here for continuing the hard work and high standards that have been set by Kumar and Rani. This is an extremely proud moment and we hope to continue doing what we love with the support of our fantastic village and all those that come from surrounding areas too, so a big big thank you to the team and to all our incredible guests.
