British-Bahraini trumpeter and composer releases her new EP, 'Shinrin-Yoku', on . Named after the Japanese practice of forest bathing, Shinrin-Yoku is a four-track meditation on the healing power of the natural world.

"The world is hurting. Forever wars. Feelings of hopelessness. These are the thoughts that have compelled me to release this music,” Ahmed says. “In these troubled times I’m hoping to bring a little inner peace and to encourage reconnection with the sacred landscapes we all share on this planet.”

‘Forest Bathing 森林浴’ is a meditative piece, an improvisation reflecting on my reconnection with nature and named after the Japanese tradition of shinrin-yoku. Spending time in the forests close to where I live, I have been able to calm my mind, take a long deep breath, pause, and drink in the beauty that nature gifts to us. I hope that this music will transport you to a place of relaxation and inner peace.

Commodo & Rocks FOE release double single ‘Uninvited / Chokehold’ via Black Acre

Following up on the impact of his huge collaboration with Alfa Mist, Commodo returns with longtime collaborator Rocks FOE. Rocks has long been a cult figure among rap fans delivering a stunning discography through shadowy means. The perfect pairing. Here Commodo’s trademarked Lynchian tones are explored by FOE’s deft and atmospheric, polysyllabic rhyme schemes on ‘Chokehold’ and straight up monolithic vocal delivery on ‘Uninvited’.

British-Bahraini trumpeter and composer announces her new EP, 'Shinrin-Yoku', arriving 29 May on limited edition vinyl and DSPs on . Named after the Japanese practice of forest bathing, 'Shinrin-Yoku' is a four-track meditation on the healing power of the natural world.

Lead single 'Dawn Patrol' is released today. Says Ahmed: "This track was commissioned by Adult Swim who sent me a mood board for inspiration. Meditating on these images I found myself thinking about the sea, waves, diving, and surfing, which later inspired the title Dawn Patrol. Surfers use this phrase to mean an early morning trip to go surfing at dawn, as the sea is awakening, yawning."
