Edwardians pioneered white cotton with fabulous detailing to create some spectacular textures and motifs. Using heirloom sewing - skills passed down through generations, like broidery anglaise (white dress), pin tucks (white slip dress) and appliqué (all the whites) they embellished simple white cotton lawn n muslin to create a delightful, luxurious finish.
