The Backstory..
This project was conceived in a period of confinement, during almost two months of isolation and it was born with the intention of bringing Mindfulness and promoting Active meditation. Meditation in a format unknown until now.
Made for all audiences, no matter who you are or where you’re at. For those who practice meditation and mindfulness and for those who are about to have their first experience. We also created this for young people to hear the traditional message in a new and innovative way.
This project is a collaboration of Carlos Perez-Carracedo, Danny Eagle and Luca Cazal. Our mission was to bring a new way of practicing mindfulness, to deliver the message in a radical, transformative and contemporary way. This practice has been around for thousands of years (long before us) and with millions of practitioners worldwide but still so many people don’t know what it is or think its not for them. We want to help change that and what motivated us was the passion for it to reach everyone.
The Making..
So after coming together with an idea and having a few inspirational demo sessions, we poured the depths of our hearts and souls into this conception and came together to write and produce these 8 tracks that we would best describe as a Deep/Ambient, Chill-out Meditation Album titled 8.
It was with enormous dedication, commitment and creative joy that we could make this wonderful project possible. We have enjoyed every moment, every step forward, watching and listening to it grow and evolve into the Album it is now, ready to take flight and be released into the world for all to hear and feel. We are proud to share this passion project with you and hope it touches you the way it does us.
The Listening..
We want you to make your own interpretation. It is a personal and unique manifestation and a way of transmitting our way of meditating. But the listening of it is your journey and however you receive our transmission is right. This is how we see both Art and Life, which we hope you will feel within the 8.
We have consciously moved away from formal, traditional practices in this album to give the mindful practice a breath of fresh air, where you don’t have to be in one position or place. Where you can put your headphones on and turn up the volume (the best way to listen to this music). It doesn’t matter where you are or who you are with, you can be lying in the garden in a hammock, drinking a beer, a cup of tea - or a glass of water, you can be sharing a conversation with friends on a summer night on a terrace, lying on the sand looking at the stars, alone in the dark or with somebody on a mountain, or perhaps on the bow of a boat at sea, or even lying in your bed relaxed, it doesn’t matter!
Because from the moment you put your headphones on you will have almost an hour of music that will reach all the corners of your emotions, activate all 8 chakras with a deep hypnosis and a gentle rhythmic breeze that will let your feelings flow elevating you into a different, higher st8te of consciousness.
We have also used the knowledge of neuroscience and specific sound techniques and frequencies so that the music reaches you deep down so that you can immerse yourself in it, simply let yourself go, take your time and enjoy the experience through the 8 soundtracks.
