The age-old Italian debate: pizza or pasta? 🍕🍝

We’ve watched this conversation happen around our tables more times than we can count.

One person is certain it’s pizza. Someone else will defend pasta with their life. Then the food arrives, everyone starts sharing, and suddenly nobody remembers which side they were on.

Maybe that’s the answer.

Order both. Put them in the middle. Pass the plates around and let the table decide ❤️

Because at L’Artigiano, good Italian food was always meant to bring people together - even when we can’t agree on what to order.

Some pizzas are made to become your usual 🍕

Our Rio brings together a red base, creamy Italian bufala mozzarella, rich beef ragù, black olives, red onion and fresh basil.

Bold, comforting and full of flavour - but for us, the best part is still seeing it land in the middle of a table surrounded by good people.

Because at L’Artigiano, we’re not just interested in what you order. We love the catch-ups, the long lunches, the family dinners and those “shall we get another one?” moments that happen around it.

What a Fringe it’s been, Edinburgh ❤️

Our tables have been fuller, the streets have been busier and there’s been that unmistakable August buzz everywhere you turn. To every familiar face, first-time visitor, performer, local and traveller who chose to spend part of it around our table - thank you

Now, as the city begins to find its rhythm again, we’re looking forward to what comes next. Slower lunches, longer dinners, autumn evenings and plenty more reasons to gather around the table.

The Fringe may be over, but the door is still open, the kitchen is still busy and there’ll always be a seat waiting for you at L’Artigiano 🇮🇹❤️

There’s something special about making the classics properly 🤍

Our tiramisu is made right here in our kitchen, layer by layer, with the time and care a good Italian dessert deserves.

Because for us, the little details matter. The food we make, the hands that make it, and the people who eventually sit around our tables to enjoy it.

Freshly made, generously served, and always worth saving a little room for.

Although… we’d argue there’s always room for tiramisu 🇮🇹
