News on the food-front at The Drewe - we are having a bit of a re-set of our food offer. Cressy, our chef for the past eight months is leaving us and the next couple of weeks will be a transition to our new menu. To give us time to get that in place, there will be limited food week commencing 8th June. This is the plan:

Tuesday: no food
Wednesday: limited evening menu, including fish and chips
Thursday: limited evening menu
Friday and Saturday: limited lunch and evening menu
Sunday: roast as normal

Although limited, the food will of course be delicious. Beer, cider, wine etc is business as usual.

Can you believe it's been 50 years since the Two Moors Way was first created. The team running the project are marking this major milestone with a series of spectacular walks at various spots on the route. Don't miss the one around Drewsteignton!

The walks starts at 10.30 start and finishes about 4.30. You'll be ambling through 11 miles of some of Devon’s most beautiful valleys and woodlands - including Drewston Wood, Fingle Bridge, Whiddon Deer Park, Dogmarsh Bridge, lanes to Rushford Mill, then Two Moors Way back to Dogmarsh Bridge, Hunter’s Tor, Castle Drogo (possible afternoon tea stop), Sharp Tor. Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton for post-walk refreshment! 🎉🙌🎉🥂🍻

Great night in The Drewe last night with Sam Grassie leading a collection of top quality fingerstyle guitarists with a bit of accordion and flute thrown in. After the gig the musicians retired to the bar, entertaining those who stayed for a late drink. Stay on the lookout for upcoming music live in the Longroom.

SAM GRASSIE and ROBIN ADAMS - Live in the Long Room FRIDAY 22ND MAY!

We're just days away from what promises to be a very special evening at the Drewe. Sam Grassie is a Scottish fingerstyle guitarist and songwriter, gaining a reputation on the circuit for dynamic sets that traverse traditional folk, acoustic blues and American primitive. According to the Bert Jansch Foundation "When Sam Grassie gets around to recording an album of his own, we’re likely to witness one of the finest folk guitarists of his generation.

He will be supported by Robin Adams, who has carved out a distinctive niche in the folk singer songwriter landscape. In the words of folk legend Ralph McTell, “If Robin had been on the circuit I was on back in the day, he would already be an underground guitar singer-songwriter star!”

Doors at 7.30. Start 8.00pm. Seated.

🎸What a night of live music in the Long Room! 🎤 We were treated to an incredible performance from singer-songwriter Joe Middleton, followed by an amazing set from indie rock band Firstborn… featuring our multi-talented bartender Henry 🍾. Great atmosphere, great music and a packed room! Thanks to everyone who came along and supported our local live music! 🎶🍻

TONIGHT! Fantastic music live in the Long Room. We are holding our first night supporting and celebrating local, original music talent. Premiering the event will be Henry Hassell’s new band FIRSTBORN, and also singer/songwriter JOE MIDDLETON from Moretonhampstead. The music starts at 7.30.

This is a FREE EVENT, but we will be taking donations on the door. 70% of door donations go to the artists
