Over these eight years, we’ve watched something absolutely wonderful happen.
Customers who once came along on their own have made new friends. People who perhaps didn’t get out of the house very often now have something to look forward to every Wednesday and Thursday.
And one little story really sums it all up. ❤️
We had two lovely ladies who sat together at the same table, just the two of them, week after week for months.
Gradually, they started chatting to other customers, getting to know new faces and making new friends.
Today, that little table of two has become a table of TWELVE friends who all sit together every week! 🥰👏
How absolutely fantastic is that!
And they’re not the only ones. We have so many lovely stories just like theirs.
Over the years, friendships have blossomed, strangers have become friends, and our bingo afternoons have become a wonderful little community of their own.
Our staff know so many of our regular customers by their first names, and there’s always a warm welcome, a friendly face and somebody to have a laugh with.
For some, it’s a lovely meal out. For others, it’s the excitement of the bingo and the chance of a big win.
But for many, it’s simply getting out of the house, meeting friends, enjoying a bit of life and having something special to look forward to every week. ❤️
And that, to us, is worth more than anything.
We are incredibly proud that, over the last eight years, the Jolly Drovers has become a place where people don’t just come for great food and bingo — they come for friendship, laughter and that wonderful feeling of belonging.
