Old site plan of the Miners' Arms Inn on Benfieldside Road, Consett dated 3rd December 1860. Note the old brewery and attached engine house! Also visible is the old gate/tollbar on Durham Road. Have you photos of this pub which is currently being restored to its original layout?

Some old photos of the Miners' Arms Inn, Benfieldside. Presumably taken during the 1970s. I believe these photos belong to Alec Brown. Sadly I don't have the originals; these are scans of a printout. Thanks to Sarah Williamson for finding them! Do you have any photos of this pub?

Map of Benfieldside Township 1845. Miners' Arms Inn can be seen standing alone (middle of map, two thirds down in section '80' and opposite 'High Gate'). Note how sparsely populated the area was then!

1888 Plan of the Miners' Arms Inn and neighbouring properties on Benfieldside (Edge) Road. Dated 16th April, 1888 and prepared by John Smith & Son, Architects Etc. of Shotley Bridge for a Mr. A. Barrass. Do you have any old photos of this pub before it was made open plan? Paul.
