Consett, let’s have a conversation ❤️

If you’ve been into The Turf or Eden and spoken to David or Kat, you’ll know how much this town means to us. It’s our hometown. We love it, and since opening the venues, that passion for the place and its people has grown tenfold.

One project particularly close to our hearts is giving young people somewhere to go and something to do.

We see it every week in local groups: “There’s nothing for the kids. What is there for them to do?”

We’re listening. Our Halloween disco for 11–14s is a first step towards offering something for an age group that often gets overlooked.

This is a trial. We want to see what they enjoy, what needs adjusting and whether there’s enough support to make these discos a regular thing.
We are also looking at other age groups!

But …. there are real costs involved in putting this on, with very little profit expected. We’re stepping beyond what a nightclub would usually offer because we genuinely want to give local young people something to look forward to.

But we need to be honest: whether we host another teen disco will depend on the support this first one receives. We want this to be the first of many, but we need ticket sales and attendance to make that possible.

So please help us get the word out. Share the Halloween teen disco with other parents, in parent Facebook groups and WhatsApp chats, and with local schools.

If your children would enjoy it, please book their tickets and get their friends involved. Sharing helps families hear about it; bookings give us the confidence to plan the next one.

We’d love to give Consett’s young people their own regular nights. Help us make this first one a success ❤️
