New owner and local businessman Gary Hall has invested heavily into creating a warm and lively pub to cater for all the local residents, whilst still welcoming families, couples and avid football fans. The Cricketers is situated right on the Derwent walk, and provides a suitable place for cyclists to relax and enjoy the sun in our newly renovated beer garden. We have a large selection of draught l

agers, local ales and well known favourites. If there is something you like and we haven’t got, let us know an we will be sure to change that. With our newly installed technology, live music is definitely not to be missed. With regular appearances from local bands, live musicians, young aspiring and alternative artists, music is certainly a trademark of Cricketers. Check our 'events' section for up and coming events. With the newly installed HD projector and 4 other HD LCD televisions, you will certainly be able to watch your favourite games whilst soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. We have all SkySports channels and ESPN all in high definition, making the whole experience worthwhile. Be sure not too miss any televised Newcastle and Sunderland fixtures, it’s the closest you will get to being at the game.
