Quick update on draught b**r stocks...
Foxcub Brewing's Tropic Haze WILL run out (but there are still some cans of this!), Durham's Mythic Storm will probably run out, the current sour and stout will both run out imminently...and I'm not sure if the spare keg ends I have are pourable, but I'll give them a go.

It's becoming very clear that I need to have a spare session pale for each event now. Back in the day I'd have plenty of b**r left for takeaway sales after the event, that's rarely the case these days. This is a good problem to have!

Oh, and the "paying the rent" threshold was passed early yesterday evening. Toppa! 😁

You know when your regular customers and friends chip in to buy merch to help towards a proper bog, as a surprise early shop birthday present? Coz I'm sure that happens everywhere...

I bloody love you lot! 😍

I'll get them sorted out and listed ready for sale next week...or maybe tomorrow if I get the usual quiet Sunday start.

I'll be closing a bit earlier at 7pm...so I can get some shelter and warmth at The Grey Horse.

After yesterday's update about the Foxcub Brewing b**rs (now on the shelves!) there are more new b**rs in today, this time it's the return of Gravity Well Brewing Company from London.
Remember the last time an Inner Space Smoothie was here? I could have sold twice as many...if I'd had twice as many! I wouldn't think about it for too long... 😁

Termination Shock 5.3% Pale Ale
Classic Nelson Sauvin characteristics of gooseberries and white w**e fruitiness blend seamlessly with the complexity of Mosaic. Extra pale malt sits back to let the delicious bright aroma come to the fore, with oats and wheat providing a silky smooth finish. Decidedly refreshing.

Galaxies Original 6.5% NEIPA

We went back to our records from 2019 to dig out the original recipe of Galaxies Apart. Would you believe it, this version actually has Galaxy hops in! Alongside the now iconic combo of Citra and Enigma. And because this is an early years NEIPA, expect a proper orange glow. Pre-Covid NEIPA glory!

Galaxies Torn Apart 10% TIPA
Special 8th birthday release!
It wouldn’t be a birthday release without something completely daft: enter “Galaxies Torn Apart”. Amplified up as far as brewing science would let us, this TIPA version of Galaxies Apart is the hoppiest b**r we’ve brewed.

After work at the brewery, I popped along to Spennymoor to see Jamie at Foxcubbrewing Ltd. The brewery has been an official concern for around 18 months now (I think...) and is just about to leap from a garage sized kit to a beautiful and very technical looking 5 barrel brewery. Give him a follow to see the progress!

For now though, these three b**rs will be on the shelves when I open on Wednesday evening. 🙂

Rust & Ruby 3.5% Dark Mild
Caramel, toasted grain and gentle roast flavours are balanced by soft, earthy bitterness. Black treacle adds depth and sweetness, while Harlequin hops bring a subtle stone-fruit character.
A smooth, traditional dark ale with rich malt character and a modern fruity twist.

Tropic Haze 4.6% Session IPA
Passionfruit, mango, grapefruit and lime with hints of peach and lychee. Juicy and fruit-forward with a crisp, clean bitterness and a smooth, refreshing finish.
A light, easy-drinking IPA packed with tropical hop flavour without the heaviness.

Fudge Comb 6.3% Milk Stout
Rich dark chocolate, espresso and burnt caramel combine with smooth lactose sweetness. Honey and cocoa nibs add extra depth, while roasted malts create a deep, luxurious character.
