Prime Minister and Chancellor, WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU THINKING?
You increase wages, our costs go up. Ingredient prices rise, bills soar, and we’re forced to put prices up for our customers.
And what happens next? Customers spend less, sales plummet, and businesses like ours are left fighting to survive.
We cannot keep absorbing rising costs, and we cannot keep passing them on to customers who are already struggling.
We want to pay our staff properly, protect jobs and keep our doors open. But you cannot keep piling costs onto hospitality and expect us to magically make the numbers work.
YOU CANNOT TAX AND COST BUSINESSES INTO THE GROUND AND EXPECT THEM TO THRIVE.
