A huge 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to everyone who got stuck in for our Volunteer Day! 💪

Back in August, our volunteers came together to give the club a clean-up, get things organised and make sure everything was ready for the season ahead.

We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for everything you do for Bletchley 🦢

𝗜𝗡 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗗 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗥

It is with great sadness and regret that Bletchley Rugby Club announces the sudden passing of Dave Parker, on Monday 31st August.

Dave was a true stalwart of our club and someone whose contribution to Bletchley Rugby spanned many decades.

A former player, long-serving Club Treasurer, Vice-President Secretary and Trustee. Dave gave an enormous amount of his time and energy to the club he cared so deeply about. His commitment, service and friendship have left an everlasting mark on Bletchley Rugby Club and on the many people who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all else, Dave was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his wife, Mary, daughters, Ellie and Sophie, son-in-law’s Nick and Alistair, and grandson, Reuben, at this incredibly difficult time.

Dave will be greatly missed by everyone at Bletchley Rugby Club, but his contribution to our club and the memories he leaves behind will never be forgotten.

May you rest in peace, Dave.

Details of Dave’s funeral will be shared in due course.

Everyone at Bletchley RUFC sends our deepest condolences to the families, friends, colleagues and rugby community mourning the tragic loss of PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough.

Two men who dedicated their lives to protecting others, taken far too soon.

Our thoughts are with everyone at Guisborough Rugby Club, Cleveland Police and all those affected by the loss of these two men who have been taken in such a devastating tragedy.

Rest in peace, Matthew and Tom. Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten 💙

𝗙𝗜𝗫𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗗 🏉

Sadly, tomorrow’s Colts & Senior’s matches have been postponed due to the condition of the pitches and exceptionally hard ground.

Following an assessment of the playing surface, the ground is currently not considered suitable for matches to take place safely.

Player welfare has to come first, and while we’re disappointed not to be playing, it’s the right decision in the circumstances.

The good news is the clubhouse will still be open from 1pm, so if you were planning on coming down, pop in and join us for a drink instead. 🍻

We’ll provide further updates regarding the rearrangement of the fixtures when available.
