It's taken us a few days to reflect on what was a fantastic afternoon of junior darts last Sunday, and the more we've thought about it, the more we've realised that the scoreline really wasn't the story.

The real story was everything that happened around it.

Watching two academies come together under one roof was exactly what grassroots darts is all about. There was healthy competition, plenty of laughs, and an incredible amount of respect shown by every single player throughout the day.

We witnessed 180s from both academies, some brilliant finishes, and a coach vs coach showdown that had everyone gathered around enjoying every dart. But what impressed us the most wasn't what was happening on the scoreboard—it was what was happening behind the oche.

Players congratulating each other after good legs. Parents chatting and supporting every youngster, regardless of which academy they represented. Coaches sharing advice and encouragement. Smiles everywhere you looked.

These are the moments that matter.

At Hotshots Academy, we believe junior darts is about far more than producing great players. It's about building confidence, creating friendships, teaching respect and giving young people a place where they can enjoy the game we all love.

To every player who took part last Sunday, thank you. You represented your academies brilliantly and should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

A huge thank you also goes to the coaches, parents and supporters from both academies. Without your time, encouragement and commitment, days like this simply wouldn't happen.

The result will fade from memory, but the atmosphere, the sportsmanship and the memories created will stay with these young players for a long time.

Last Sunday proved one thing above everything else... junior darts was the real winner. 💚🎯

We're looking forward to welcoming Madhouse Darts Academy to Hotshots Sports Bar tomorrow for what promises to be a fantastic day of junior darts.

This fixture is about so much more than the result. It's an opportunity for young players to compete, learn, build friendships and represent their academy with pride.
