The Pilots are flying high again! ✈️ Another superb performance and another victory. At this rate we may have to start checking their pockets for hidden encyclopaedias. 😂

A very respectable 80 points! They may be called Outside Bets, but they’re becoming a pretty safe bet for the prize money lately! 👏

A work of art? Maybe not quite a Rembrandt, but 75½ points was enough to paint themselves a place on the podium! 😂🎨

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for our Boules Tournament at The Old Crown! 🏆☀️-

The weather couldn’t have been better, and the day was packed with friendly competition, great drinks, and plenty of laughs from start to finish. Best of all, together we managed to raise fantastic funds in support of the brilliant team at Alongside!

Congratulations to our champions, and well done to everyone who gave it their best shot on the piste!

We loved seeing the garden buzzing with such a fantastic crowd. Keep your eyes peeled—we’ll definitely be hosting another one soon.

Another cracking turnout this week — thanks to everyone who came along! ❤️

And it was TIGHT at the top… just HALF A POINT separated our top two! 😳

🥇 1ST – RETRO COLLECTIVE
⭐ 85½ POINTS – £38 WINNERS ⭐
The Retro lot rolled back the years and showed they’ve still got it! That crucial half-point proved worth £18 in the end. Never underestimate the importance of a dodgy guess! 😂

🥈 2ND – TWO YOUNGISH GITS
⭐ 85 POINTS – £20 WINNERS ⭐
So, so close! Just half a point away from taking the crown. Still, 85 points is a fantastic score… even if they’ll probably spend the next seven days arguing about where that missing half-point went. 😂

🥉 3RD – THE STRAIGHTS OF OUR MOOSE
⭐ £10 WINNERS ⭐
Making their way onto the podium and, more importantly, continuing to provide us with one of the most ridiculous team names I have to read out every week. 😂👏

There is nothing quite like a sun-drenched day at The Old Crown, is there? The laughter from the tables, the sound of glasses clinking, and that irresistible smell of a BBQ firing up.

This Monday, August 31th, we’re keeping it simple and soulful. The grill is ours, the music is from our favourite local friends, and the b**r is cold.

Grill fires up at 12 NOON sharp. All you need to bring is yourself.
Grab your people, find a spot in the garden, and let’s make a memory together. We can't wait to see you.
