New menu, same George Inn welcome! 🍽️

Our menu's had a refresh and there's something for everyone — from Garlic & Chilli King Prawns and Padron Peppers to share, to Sunday-worthy Beef Striploin and Steak & Ale Pie, right through to Sticky Toffee Pudding to finish.

Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or settling in for the afternoon, we're serving 12–7pm. Dogs and kids always welcome.

Our Christmas Party Menu is here and we'd love to have you! Whether it's the office do, a gathering with friends, or the whole family squeezing round the table, we've got a cosy spot waiting for you at The George.

Think roast turkey crown with all the trimmings, slow braised feather blade of beef, and a boozy sticky toffee pudding to finish (among plenty of other treats) — all served up in our warm, festive dining room.

Dogs and kids welcome as always, and with dates filling up fast, we'd get your booking in sooner rather than later!

Join us on Sunday 6th Sept for our popular pub quiz, kicking off at 7:30pm. Grab your friends, family or workmates and put together a team of up to 6 — the more, the merrier (and the tougher the competition)!

Fancy eating first? Our full menu and Sunday roasts are served from 12pm–7pm, so come down early and make a proper afternoon of it.

As the seasons turn, so does the menu — our pizza oven is having a well-earned rest on Sundays, and the kitchen’s putting all its energy into what we do best: proper Sunday roasts. And don’t worry if a roast is not for you there will be plenty of options to choose from on our Menu

New Sunday food hours: 12pm – 7pm

Expect all the trimmings, a Yorkshire pudding you could live in, and gravy by the jug. Grab a table, bring the dog, and settle in.
