BUT if you are planning the work Christmas meal or trying to juggle family or friends diaries to get everyone together before the Big Day, then now is the perfect time to get it booked.

If you have been to one of our vinyl sessions before you know what a really fun night they are.
If you haven't been then do yourself a favour, come on down on Thursday 22nd October, relax and let the tunes work their magic. You may even go home with a whole host of lovely memories swirling around your head, releasing that happy dopamine to get you through Friday and into the weekend.
Get up into the loft or deep into that cupboard and dig out those old vinyls that you went to the record shop to buy. Bring them along and we can all take a trip down memory lane.

A very Good Morning to you on this Wednesday Hump Day! It's a wet and grey one, quite a rare phenomenon recently.
If you are wondering what to do today, how about including lunch at our beautiful village pub? There are a variety of dishes to choose from on the menu. Perhaps a day like today calls for a bowl of Stephane's delicious homemade soup? Or, if you are still in sunnier weather mode how about a caeser salad before we change over to our winter menus next week?
We are open from 12pm until 2pm for lunch. We then reopen at 5pm for drinks and our evening menu is served from 6pm to 8pm.

Would you like to have this painting hanging on your wall?

If so, all you need to do is sign up to the BrushParty event here at the Swan on Wednesday 21st October, 7pm-10pm.
You don't need any previous experience, the instructor will take you step by step through the stages of creating your very own masterpiece. Everything you need is provided on the night, including canvas paints and aprons. Enjoy a glass of w**e or your favourite beverage (not included) as you paint. It's the perfect opportunity to relax, socialise with friends, meet new people and have a great night out.

This Thursday is our monthly Open Mic session when we open up the bar to anyone who likes to entertain, whether it be singing, playing an instrument or both. We have a few regular performers who really enjoy visiting the Swan on these nights. We also have a very appreciative audience who like to be entertained for free.
Whatever your talent we would love to see you. Equally, performers need an audience to play to so even if you don't want to get behind the Mic we would still love to see you.
Food is available from 6pm to 8pm and the Open Mic starts at 8pm.

This Thursday evening at The Swan we are delighted to welcome.the new month in with a visit from The Travelling Thai, purveyors of authentic street food. They will be serving up their delicious dishes and bringing a little bit of Thailand to Barton Stacey.
They will be in the pub car park from 6pm to 8pm so pop on down and enjoy something different for your supper. You are very welcome to enjoy your meal in the pub, or just pop in for a drink whilst you wait for your food to be prepared.
We would love to see you, and so would The Travelling Thai.

Have you ever walked to the top of Postmans Walk and enjoyed the wonderful views over rolling countryside and back towards our lovely village?
This is a popular and historic walk, getting its name from its past use as a shortcut for postal workers.
If you decide to take an autumnal walk up the path of Postmans Walk, why not stop in at the Swan Inn afterwards for a delicious and warming bowl of Stephane's homemade soup?
